First Local Land Charges Industry Events Launched

The Council for the National Land Information Service (C-NLIS) has launched the first ever achievement awards for Local Land Charges.

The Awards have been created to acknowledge the work and achievements of Local Land Charges Officers and will give recognition to those authorities who are playing a key role in modernising and shaping the future of the industry.

Leading industry experts will be judging the Awards, including representatives from The Association of Home Information Pack Providers, C-NLIS, COPSO, The Council for Licensed Conveyancers, The Law Society, The Local Land Charges Institute, The NLIS Hub, The Partnership and Thames Water Property Insight.

  • The eight award categories are as follows:
  • Marketing innovation award - sponsored by the NLIS Hub
  • Customer satisfaction award for local authority searches - sponsored by Thames Water Property Insight
  • Customer satisfaction award for personal searches - sponsored by COPSO
  • Best performing Local Land Charges Department
  • Most improved services award - sponsored by The Association of Home Information Pack Providers (AHIPPs)
  • Best NLIS Local Land Charges Department of the year award - sponsored by The National Land Information Service (NLIS)
  • Local Land Charges Officer of the year award - sponsored by The Local Land Charges Institute (LLCI)

A Local Land Charges Institute Past Presidents award will also be presented at the Awards Dinner, giving recognition to an individual that the past presidents feel has worked relentlessly to help shape the Local Land Charges industry.

We hope that the awards will encourage organisations and individuals in the local land charges industry to strive for continued improvement and excellence.”

The Local Land Charges Awards dinner will be held on 28 January 2008 at the Blackpool Hilton as part of the annual Local Land Charges Conference.
